The Beautiful Danube Route through the Djerdap National Park

Some of the most beautiful parts of the Danube can be found in Eastern Serbia, where it ranges from 6,5 km wide at the Golubac Fortress to only 150 meters. The 100 km long gorge where you bike through promises a new spectacular view after each bend on the flat and easy road. After 3 days of following this magnificent river the route continues through the 640 sqkm of Djerdap National Park. The landscape is beautiful and filled with natural surprises such as springs, waterfalls and caves.

The entire route is easy to medium, with a few climbs, but never more than a few hundred meters at a time. For the steepest parts the van can bring those who want up, after which you can fully enjoy the downhill ride.

This tour is especially great for nature lovers who like to enjoy good food and drinks. The cycling is combined with short hikes to viewing-points, visits to caves and walks to springs and waterfalls, the one even more beautiful than the other.

Like all iBikeTours the route and itinerary can be customized to your wishes. You can choose to have the luxury of a back-up van so you never have to worry about technical issues, carrying luggage or getting lost. And for the ones who like to enjoy without sweating too much, your driver will give you a lift to the top of the mountain.
